Please join the Town of Babylon, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the Farmingdale SBDC for a seminar series on government contracting and accessing capital.
These seminars are designed for small businesses who are interested in understanding how to become a successful government contractor. There are many opportunities in the government for small businesses, and these seminars will help you learn how to take advantage of them.
The seminars are as follows:
February 26: Government Contracting 101
This seminar will help businesses understand how to prepare for government contracting. The seminar will provide the tools to help businesses research if government contracting is the right space for them and what documents and registrations they will need to start. It will also go through the certifications that are available to them, as well as how to determine whether they should bid on an opportunity or not.
April 16: MWBE Bootcamp

The workshop will review the New York State certification, Suffolk County certification, and New York City certification.
